In 1989 the brothers Ulisses and Marco Sabará learned about the potentials of the jojoba oil during a business trip to Europe. During that trip, they got in touch with a businessman who operated in the Mexican Market. There, the pioneering work of the company to biodiversity in Brazil was born.
In that occasion, the entrepreneurs decided to distribute the oil in Brazil, and started to represent a number of global companies. The second, more consistent step in this direction was given in partnership with a large Brazilian cosmetics corporation that invited the new company to provide supplies for their biodiversity products line. After an acquisition, the Group started to provide Brazilian Amazon biodiversity products, setting the
grounds to the solid chain that currently forms the Sociobiodiversity Enhancement Program®.
Thus, the Sabará Group was created by a family, and started its activities of water treatment products distribution in 1956. Over 60 years, the Group diversified its areas of operation and enhanced its capacity for innovation. The Group is currently specialized in developing technologies, solutions and raw materials for nutrition, health care, beauty and bioenergy. As a market asset, the company invests in solutions based on sustainability throughout its entire supply chain, demonstrating a consistent commitment to future generations.
